Link to the Spoken word: Sex Games

I created Sex Games in an effort to write out my thoughts on the complications of a sexual relationship. The spoken word jolt prepares the viewer for the examination of the work in it’s entirety.

The illustration is done with pen and ink on cardboard that I destroyed and stained to give it a worn and used aesthetic.
I used drops of elmer's glue mixed with petroleum jelly to create the look of sexual fluids that I drizzled over the work. I placed nails throughout the cardboard to create juxtaposition between the representations of bliss and the pain that lies beneath the pleasures. An element only noticeable when standing in close proximity to the work.
